In
the Fall of 1991, Pushcart Players toured the former Soviet Union with
the production, “Three Cheers For America.” It was received with
great enthusiasm on the dawn of the newly democratized
government.
Shortly after Pushcart’s return, Senator Frank Lautenberg praised
the company in the Congressional record by saying, “In taking their
talents
overseas, they have proved again how art can transcend cultural
barriers.
Through their play, ‘Three Cheers For America,’ they have created new
friendships
and promoted a cultural exchange.”
